rocmarciano.com
[Visit Site]

A website I designed and developed from scratch for rap artist Roc Marciano. Mostly vanilla javascript controlling the user experience which I wanted to feel smooth and minimal. Clear headers and a simple color scheme to reflect Roc Marciano's music. Pure content, no filler - Music, Shop, Social Media links all displayed prominently. An efficiently designed grid shows Marciano's discography with appropriate ditto.fm or fatbeats links to stream/purchase music. Also utilizes a shop-integrator to create a built in shop, currently not accepting payments as site is currently DEMO only.

about me

My name is Jordan DeLaforgue (that's pronounced Dell-uh-forg), and I am web developer. Since 2016 I've spent most every day experimenting with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and Java. I use these tools and my knowledge of them to help design and developing websites.

I was born and raised on Chicago's north side, and I graduated high school from Lane Tech in 2009 ("OH-NINE!" - if you know, you know), where I met my wife Paloma. Today we live in the city's Belmont-Cragin neighborhood, raising our son Ezekiel who was born in 2019.

I started by2891 LLC shortly after his birth when I decided to dedicate myself full-time to making a better community around my family, in any way I could. Now I use my passion and web design abilities to empower those in the community who are often overlooked. Public servants, teachers, community leaders and local independent artists are the clientelle I am most proud to represent and work with. I am currently working on several projects for local community leaders and businesses in Belmont-Cragin, and I am open to taking on projects aligned to my interests.
